April Torrez DeStefano
ARTIST BIO
After graduating with an A.A.S for Graphic Design in San Diego, California I moved to Kingston, NY in 1998.
I was disheartened to find that there was a lack of graphic design work available in the area we moved to.
I worked several random part-time jobs from interior design to banking. I landed a job with a local newspaper as a graphic designer and then became an advertising manager.
A co-worker and I created a business and named it MAD Graphics which did well for a few years.
I became a real estate agent in 2005 and used my training to create a media and marketing company that I owned and operated for over 8 years. I provided services from photography, virtual tour production, website design, SEO, and started to provide video production services to Real Estate companies.
After answering a spiritual call to nursing, I left the creative world behind for several years. During the pandemic lockdown, I finally had the time to get back to art and learn new mediums and applications.
I can adapt to whatever project comes my way on a freelance, internship, or full-time basis.
This site provides a glimpse into what I have done in the past and the dabbling I do now.
I look forward to learning and creating more outside of my usual playing field.
